Two sided tufted inner spring cotton mattress

queen-size-mattress-and-box-spring2.jpg

All our products are a two sided inner spring mattress with 100% cotton on the inside and we use 100% cotton for our cover. Between the cotton and the spring we use a Sisal insulator pad as a crown in the middle of the spring to help prevent sagging and then we add a full wrap around Sisal insulator pad on top of that. We also tuft our mattresses which is one of the reasons they last so long. The other reason is how we make our box springs. You won’t find the box springs we make in any store. What you will find is a wooden foundation with a piece of cardboard on top. Our box springs are real box springs. We use a coil spring on a 1 x 4 pine frame. We use a Sisal pad and two layers of cotton on top of the spring and then the same 100% cotton material on top. Our product comes with a 20 year warranty because it’s made the old fashion way (Made to last) and we take pride in what we do and have been for 98 years.

We also make custom mattresses and box springs of any size and we also make horsehair mattresses for the customer that wants the next step up. However whether you buy cotton or horsehair Don’s Mattress Service guaranties you get “The Rest of Your Life”

Horsehair Mattress

horsehair-being-added-to-mattress.jpg

Scientific tests have proven that horse hair creates an excellent micro-climate, keeping us comfortable in warm and cold conditions. Horse hair is very resilient by nature and has fantastic ventilating properties. The hollow fiber transports humidity away from the body and ensures a comfortable micro-climate.

Horsehair is used by the top-quality bedding manufacturers and upholsterers to provide their products with greater durability and comfort. These manufacturers use hair in both divans and mattresses with traditional ‘hand-made’ production techniques. This type of hair is extensively used by all the premium-quality manufacturers in the UK, Europe, and a select few of us in the USA.
